Rotary Peninsula 2.0 is a proud supporter of Youth Exchange.

In our short history we have had the pleasure of sending 2 students out – Keehlan to the US and Rubi to Austria. And had the joy of hosting 2 students – Carol from Brazil and Antonia from Austria. We are looking forward to particpating again this year.

Outbound students leave in the January for a 12 month stay, applications open from the start of January, final selection is completed by July. A series of camps is held at Forest Edge Nerrim to help prepare the students for their adventure. Although, as returning students have told us: “Nothing can prepare you”, every student has a vastly different experience from another, however the camps do instruct on requirements, expectations, practical life skills and so on.

Inbound students arrive in July / August to begin their adventure. Participating host clubs are invited to register their interest all year round. Contact secretary@ryep9820.org

Want to host an exchange student?
Hosting an exchange student is incredibly rewarding for your family, bringing an international experience directly into your home. Host families provide room and board and share their lives with exchange students, involving them in family, community, and cultural activities. All host families are screened and trained.
